After researching the European Union, create a power point on the general background of the European Union.

            This will be a general informational presentation of the EU. Include such information as:
                    1. When did the organization begin?
                    2. What countries are currently members?
                    3. What is the purpose of this alliance?
                    4. What countries have applied to join the organization?
                    5. What are some of the major issues facing the organization currently?

Develop a chart describing the positive and negative arguments for becoming part of the EU

As a group vote on whether your country will apply for admission into the European Union.

Write a position paper that will convince your country's legislature that it should apply, or should not apply, for admission into the European Union.
