Book Review: The Apology

The Apology was composed of speeches proposed by Socrates. He was on trial for a crime. He was giving his

defence to the hury. Socrates said that his voice led him to challenge his acusers. He truly believes that he is innocent.

This was a very well written work. This work illustrated how one person can be heard among many.

My favorite part of the work was when Socrates first begins his speech. He initially tells the jury what their fate will

be, and I thought that that really set the tone of the story. My least favorite part of the story was when the jury

announced their decision concerning Plato. I did not like the way the resolution was revealed. I feel that it should have

ended differently. The story would have been even better; if Plato had come up with a better conclusion. I think many

other readers would agree. So if I could change one thing it would the ending. The I believe the story would have a

better overall flow. I would have to strongly recommend this work to another person. This work appeals to the mind.

It forces the reader to think about each statement carefully. Therefore, I know someone else would enjoy it as much

as I do. This work would be best suited for someone who enjoys philosophical literature. Some people enjoy works

where several proposals are issued. Their minds will expand after they have read this. After reading this; my whole

process of thinking was changed. I guarantee that anyone else who reads this will not be disappointed.
