Sulmona is located at the foot of the Maiella in Southern Italy. Sulmona
has been hit from wars and earthquakes but, it still has many medieval
buildings, like the Cathedral, and the Palace of the Announced one. The
Church of the Announced one has the majestic bell tower. You could also
visit the Tironi Palace, Tabassi Palace, and Public square XX September,
which has a bronze statue of Ovid. Another famous square is the Garibaldi
Public square, which has the Church of Saint Filippo, the church of Saint
Maria of the Tomba, the medieval Aqueduct, Naples Door, the Morronese Abbey

The Sulmona name appears in
ancient documents as far back as 211 BC. In 43 BC Ovid, was born in Sulmona,
Italy. Sulmona was founded from Solimo. There are also important agricultural
centers and trades centers in Sulmona. Sulmona is famous all over the world
for its confetti, and art orafa, which are ancient jewels. The first production
confetti, goes back quite to 14 BC, period which was considered rare.
