18. Decay of Ethics
(exerpt from the Tao Te Ching)

When the way of the Tao is forgotten,
kindness and ethics need to be taught;
Men learn to pretend to be wise and good.

All too often in the lives of men,
Filial pitty and devotion
arise only after conflict and strife,
Just as loyal ministers all too often appear,
When the people are surpressed.

opinion:

As a people we should learn from our mistakes. We should take history and learn by what others acomplished.  People have a tendency of making continual mistakes and it's our job to make a change.
This is what I believe Lao Tzu to be speaking of, but people have different point of views.

I recommend this work to all that know that life is worth more than materialistic things.  To the people that actualy think about life as a thing to remember.
