The Stranger
By Albert Camus
A Review

The Stranger is read throughout the United States in many different highschools The book was written in 1946. This book has earned its high popularity. In 1957 Albert Camus won a Nobel Prize and was noted for his existentialist beings.
The Plot is very easy to understand. A young Algerian named Meursault gets involve in a matter that gets him into something he will never get over. I have a lot of problems with the character Meursault. I guess its because he is an existentialist and their views are slightly confusing. His feelings are unusual and that’s what makes the book interesting. Meursault is unmoved by his mother death. He meets a girl and she tells him how much she loves him but he fails to show emotions. As a matter of fact throughout the entire story he fails to show emotion. He finally shows emotion at he end of the when he is getting close to his sentence. It was  better than a five but not a ten. So I rate it as a seven.
