Limerick Poem

The Goat Poem

I ran to see the goat
It was rowing in a boat
The goat baaed at me
And as far as I could see
He was rowing in a moat

The goat got to shore
He baaed for more and more
Grass to be brought to him
He couldn't swim
Or he'd eat the grass on the other shore

So I brought the goat grass
And a pretty young lass
Ran to me in great distress
Mud covered her dress
And she had just come from Mass!

She asked if that was her goat
Rowing in a boat
I said it might be
The goat said you found me
Now I'm hungry from rowing a boat

Ballad

Fall Apart (More and more)

I ran to the other side of the room
And you stood where you were
I asked, "Why have we become so cold?"
And you never said a word

Refrain:
And if we stay like this forever
We will only fall apart
More and More
And we will never find warmth in love again

You looked at me with sorry eyes
And said, "I'm done with all this now"
You couldn't take this freezing cold
The heart I had to give was given back

Refrain

I just ask you think of me now and then
'Cause now that you're gone
I feel the sun come inside
And melt this ice from inside me
