Haikus

Haiku #1

The field lay fallow
The black crows pecked at the seed
No crops now grow there

Haiku #2

A leaf falls down wind
The tree is not far away
Winter is coming

Haiku #3

The wind blows gently
Through the rustling autumn trees
November is here

Question Poem

Why capital punishment?

An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind

Why?
Why must they die?
Because they killed.
To kill to die and the circle's completed
So why?

Who?
Who gave you rights
To judge another?
To pretend to know what your God commands?
Who gave you rights to another's life?

Is it right?
Right political, right economical?
Right religious, right humane?
An eye for an eye
A life for a life
No matter how wretched

So you've got a choice
For or against?
Prison or life?
Justice or…
Right?
