Creative Writing:
The Fruit of my Labors

Some write for pleasure.  Some write for relief or for escape.  Some write to expose hidden truths about themselves or society.  Or for a deeper way to express themselves.  And some just write for amusement.

Me?  I write because it is a compulsion.  Because for me, it is like breathing: both necessary and natural.

So, I would like to welcome you to my creative writing website.  I would like to supply a preemptive apology to everyone who sees this site.  I am not good with computers and this is the first time I have attempted to create a website.  I probably wouldn't even be doing this except that it is for a grade in a creative writing class that I'm taking.

With that said, I would also like to tell you some forms of creative writing that will be posted on here.  I write mainly free verse poetry and prose.  I am currently trying to write a novel but that is rather difficult considering that I have homework outside of creative writing.  I also will post some limerick poetry and haikus, along with a ballad or two.

I would appreciate comments by readers.  Constructive criticism only please, it is very hard to assess a poem or short story based on "it's good" or "it's terrible".

Thank you very much and enjoy my site,
C. Gould

The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a
green thing that stands in the way. Some see Nature all ridicule and
deformity, and some scarce see Nature at all. But to the eyes of the
man of imagination, Nature is Imagination itself.
- William Blake
