This is an excerpt from my short story, Catharsis. 

She stood up quickly, too quickly; she was dizzy again.  Taking a second to steady her balance, she then walked up to the front of the room.  Standing in front of him, she spoke to him quietly and through gritted teeth.  "It means something to me." She took her poem out of his stunned and slack hands and walked out of the room.

This is my short story, Catharsis that I wrote during first quarter.  It deals with  touchy subject matters, so all of it will not be featured on here.
This is also what my novel for NaNoWriMo was based on.
