A Cloud is a collection
of tiny water droplets, so small and light that they float through the
air. Liquid water in lakes, oceans and rivers evaporates, changing
to a gas called water vapor. Water vapor cools as it rises, condensing
into water droplets. The water droplets are still small and light,
so they remain floating in the air. Many water droplets together
form a cloud.
Stratus Clouds
are clouds that appear
to form smooth, even layers
Cumulus Clouds
clouds are white puffs
like cotton that pile up to the atmosphere
Cirrus Clouds
clouds that appear as
thin, silky webs or whispy streaks
