International Baccalaureate - Internationalism

The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. To this end IBO works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
Vade Mecum, 2007

Enloe offers an extensive list of course offerings that help fulfill the mission of IBO. These courses either directly deal with international issues or reinforce skills needed in a global economy or both. Many of these courses are open to students that are not enrolled in the IB Programme, because internationalism is important for all of us, not just some of us.
