International Baccalaureate - Education for Life

The International Baccalaureate organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end, IBO works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment. These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

Registration and Four-Year Plans

Registration for courses for each year takes place in February or March of the previous year. All freshmen who are thinking about pursuing the IB Diploma should see the IB coordinator during the fall semester of their freshman year to design a four-year-plan of courses in preparation for the IB exams during junior and senior years. TheIB 4 year option(s) are available online. Prospective students should also look at the Path to IB Exams.

Rising Juniors

Rising Juniors and parents need to complete their Pre-Dimploma form to schedule a conference with April Hoffman to sign the Declaration to Pursue the IB Diploma contract. Return the signed Pre-Diploma form to the IB office in room 1306A.
