Students in the Workplace

In October, ninth and tenth graders from Enloe's Medical Bioscience Academy spent a day at WakeMed and Wake AHEC, learning about careers and opportunities in the health care profession. Students were given a tourof the hospital and the Medical Education Institute, listened to career presentations by health care professionals, were introduced to volunteer opportunities for high schoolers, learned of summer internships and Saturday Academy activities provided by Wake AHEC, and were treated to lunch in Café 3000. It was a great opportunity for the students to explore their options in the field of health care!

Students listen to a pharmacist from WakeMed talk about her work.

Students look and listen as Mrs. Mary Robinson leads them on a tour of the Children's Emergency Room.

Mary Robinson of Wake AHEC answers students' questions about internship opportunities at WakeMed and Wake AHEC.
