Unit on Ancient Rome

You have been assigned a five-paragraph essay addressing one of the questions on this list. Today in class you will begin doing research on the internet on your topic. Remember that you must properly cite any material you take from a source, so make sure that you keep track of what sites you use and what you got there. A good way of doing this would be opening a word or text document, copying the web address of a site that you are looking at there, and under that copying your information or making your notes from that source. Please make sure that you save this page to your school server folder and print it if necessary. HOWEVER, YOU MUST NOT PRINT IMAGES IN THE LAB!

You must work in the lab-you will recieve a participation grade of 20 points today if you are on task for the whole period. If you go to inappropriate sites, print images, socialize, do homework for another class or are disruptive, you will lose points. Excessively bad behavior will result in being excluded from future lab days.

When you finish your research, try out the Roman Emperor game at http://www.pbs.org/empires/romans/empire/empire5.html
