Instructions

  1. Start by opening Publisher. You can use a web page template from the ones that Microsoft has provided, or create one of your own from the blank publications file.
  2. If you chose a blank file, go to format on the tool bar and pick your color and background. You may also choose a font and font color. Try not to spend too much time on this. (I always waste too much time on how a page looks.)
  3. Once you know how it is going to look, insert a text box. You may do this  by clicking on the blue A on the left menu bar. Then type in your text or paste it from your text file.
  4. Insert your image from the internet.
  5. Insert your hyperlink by clicking on the little globe with the link on the tool bar and following the directions.
6. Put your name--last name and first initial on the bottom of the page.
7. Save your finished work to your folder on the server.
8. Create a folder for your web page called MYWEBPAGEXXX.
The  XXXX should be your initials and class period.
Save the file once as a publisher file, then, save it as a web page. Name
the web page your initials and class period. For example, my initials are
DBM, if I was in 8th period my web page would be called DBM8.
9. Sign up on the sheet Dr. Sanwald has to let her know your name and file
name so that she can post your page. If you do not do this you will not
    get credit for your work!
10. E-mail me with any questions at dbmerge@yahoo.com
