Section LinksBand Orchestra Vocal Music Visual Art Dance Drama Piano Lab Audio Production TV BroadcastingOne of a KindEnloe is unique as it is the only high school in Wake County that allows students to study dance during the school day and progress from beginning to advanced levels. Students explore intellectual, kinesthetic, and aesthetic facets of ballet and modern dance. Classes in Tap and Ethnic Dance are also offered. Daily technique classes are balanced by study of composition, improvisation, and dance history. Students gain performance experience through serious concert work. Enloe dance students have received scholarships to UNC-G (Reynolds Scholar), Univ. of Illinois, & American Dance Festival.
Enloe High School Dance Department Placement Classes
Location: Room 2417 Please arrive 15 minutes early to register. If you are not a currently enrolled Enloe student then please bring your Enloe acceptance letter to the placement class. If you have not received your letter then you are still encouraged to attend. All students will be placed into a dance class based on their acceptance into Enloe. Please RSVP to Pattie Marks at pmarks@wcpss.net if you’re unable to attend the placement class or you will be required to take an entry level dance course. It is not required to take a placement class if you want to register for a beginning level dance class.
Modern Technique Class
Thursday, April 14, 2011 If your school is not listed then please attend either day.
Ballet If a student is undecided on which dance style they are interested in then they may attend any of the placement classes.
