National Honor SocietyMeetings: Enloe's NHS website: http://enloenhs.tk/ The next set of surveys for the 09-10 year will be released in mid-November. The National Honor Society was established in 1921. Today, it is estimated that more than one million students participate in activities of the NHS and NJHS. NHS and NJHS chapters are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. Territories, and Canada. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service. The Enloe National Honor Society is a group of motivated students of high academic standing who strive to utilize their abilities to make a positive contribution to the community around them. NHS members attend monthly meetings, complete five service projects each year, participate in an Enloe teacher assisting project, and maintain a high level of moral character. The purpose of this chapter is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character in students of William G. Enloe High School. NHS builds its principles upon 4 main pillars:
Executive Board
Appointed Board
Faculty Advisors
