Gay-Straight AllianceMeetings: Every other Tuesday 2:30pm in Rm 1605 Dues: The Gay-Straight Alliance meets every Thursday to discuss and learn about current events regarding the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual/transgender, queer/questioning) community. We welcome everyone with a positive contribution. Some Thursdays are designated "movie days" where we show an LGBT-themed movie (usually a comedy) and eat delicious foodstuffs. GSA organizes school-wide Days of Action participation each year. Days of Action include National Coming-Out Day, Allies' Week, Transgender Day of Rememberance, and the most commonly known Day of Silence. In the past, GSA members have also participated in and/or helped to organize Triangle LGBT events, such as the Alternative Prom in Durham, by working with the Wake County GSA Booster Club. Currently in the works are social meet-ups with the members of GSAs in other Wake County high schools. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, TRANSEXUAL, ETC TO JOIN. An "ally" is a heterosexual person who supports LGBTQ persons and works with the LGBTQ community for equality for people of all sexual orientations, sexual identities, gender identities, etc. Look us up on Facebook! "Enloe's Queer Alliance" is the title of the group. Club Officers
