Favorite Part of the Experience: As difficult as the choice is, I think that of all of the unforgettable happenings of the experience, I will look back at speaking to the Chinese classes with the greatest fondness. The opportunity to speak to a large group of students, eager to learn about my life and nation, is one that I will likely not have again. But as much fun as I had talking about myself to people who were actually interested, the opportunity to learn from those same students was of much greater importance to me. The students in the classes I visited displayed a curiosity unlike anything I had ever experienced. While the Chinese students' enthusiasm for schoolwork was on par with that of their American counterparts, their desire to learn about American culture was unmatched by any sort of cultural curiosity in the US.

Interests: In my free time, I find I am most interested in American football, and building and painting plastic models.

Favorite Subject: Of the various and sundry classes which fill my day, my favorites are U.S. Government and Politics, and Physics.

Future Plans: After graduating high school I intend to pursue a major in mechanical engineering in college, with possibly a second major in economics. After college, I intend to enter graduate school in pursuit of an as-yet unknown major. Following that, I don't know yet, but I will figure it out eventually.
